Job description

Radiology Associates of the Fox Valley (RAFV) seeks Interventional Radiology Nurse Practitioners to support our growing clinical practice.

  • Participate in the assessment and identification of patients referred to Interventional Radiology Services. Assists in the preparation of patients for Interventional Procedures, including maintaining up-to-date knowledge of peri-procedural care.
  • Become proficient and maintain proficiency in basic image-guided procedures, including biopsies, fluoroscopic-guided lumbar puncture, myelogram, arthrogram, port studies, tube checks, and ultrasound-guided paracentesis, thoracentesis, and thyroid FNA. 
  • Collaborate with supervising Radiologists in the development of a differential diagnosis of the presenting problem. Participate in devising and implementing a management plan. 

In this role, we require that youre:

  • Graduate of an accredited practitioner school.
  • Certified by an appropriate certifying body and approved by the Wisconsin Board of Medicine.
  • Adept at advanced physical assessments. 
  • ACLS/BLS certified.
  • Able to acquire and maintain knowledge of both oral and IV anticoagulation therapies with safety in interventional procedures. 
  • Collaborative, committed to a team environment, and focused on quality patient care.
