Job description

The Contents Crew Chief works under the instruction of the Fire/Contents Restoration Manager to direct the contents team in packing and cleaning of items damaged by water, mold, fire and smoke, and assists in the completion of these tasks when needed. They provide excellent customer service and empathy to our homeowners during their time of need.

Duties:

  • Complete knowledge of Encircle, can prepare reports and deliver to client. 
  • Complete knowledge of all Contents vehicles and operation. 
  • Complete knowledge of Encircle, can prepare reports and deliver to client. 
  • Forklift certifications, with ability to move crates. 
  • Maintains Crate Map and updates when crate quantities per job change. 
  • Able to take complete inventory of consumables and report to the Manager. 
  • Able to complete cleaning quality inspection on all jobs. 
  • Provides Manager with daily updates, job status and any issues. 
  • Ensure all technicians observe proper safety standards for each and every job. 
  • Provide customers with High Value worksheet and explain to them how to complete the form. 
  • Trains new hires in in job management system, Encircle and T Sheets. 
  • Ensure all contents are properly labeled, in English. 
  • Inventories and communicates to Manager when specialty cleaning practices, or subcontractors are required. 
  • Extensive knowledge of damaged content repair. 
  • Able to accurately identify and sort contents by disposition of all jobs. 
  • Ability to Complete an initial site inspection when Manager is unavailable. 
  • Ability to assist Manager with on-site inspections to check job status. 
  • Ability to converse with clients and answer simple questions they have regarding their jobs. 
  • Ensure crew stays on task and adheres to break times for productivity.
  • Input notes and photos into our job management system. 
  • FRST Certification with IICRC

Requirements:

  • Must be able to communicate in English
  • Valid driver’s license with minimum 3 years driving experience
  • High school graduate or GED
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Able to work in a variety of conditions, including heat/non air-conditioned spaces.
  • Able to work occasional nights/weekends to respond to emergency losses (fires)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Experience with inventory documentation
  • Experience in the restoration /construction industry is strongly preferred
