Job description

Encapsulation Machine Operator (Entry Level).
Basic Job Description:
As an Encapsulation Machine Operator, you will be responsible for setting up and operating an encapsulation machine. You will also be responsible for cleaning the equipment, utensils and, the room in which you operate. You may be required to assist with other various tasks that may include other processes, departments, or equipment. 
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Comply with current good manufacturing practices (cGMPs), follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), and must be able to interpret, follow and complete scheduled production on-time
  • Must have the ability to read, follow detailed Batch Production Record instructions and fill out documents.
  • Set up and operate equipment; if needed, adjust settings during operation.
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment i.e. perform mold changes.
  • Verification of equipment settings and molds before encapsulation.
  • Perform in-process checks until the batch is complete i.e. fill weight, etc.
  • Collect and weigh capsule yields into containers using platform bench scales.
  • Calculate and record total theoretical capsule yield and actual yield.
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment and promptly reports any concerns to management.
  • Clean and sanitize equipment/part prior to and/or after use; disassembling and reassembling as needed.
  • Sweep/wash floors and work areas to maintain equipment and work area in a sanitary condition.
  • Move cases to designated areas.
  • Work with Quality Dept. to perform quality checks on a daily basis.
  • Develop strong lines of communication with other co-workers to ensure plant efficiency.
  • Must wear appropriate gear: hairnets, gloves, hearing protection, masks, etc.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
 
Experience and Skilled required:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Ability to use a calculator to add, multiply, subtract and divide decimals and basic units of measure.

Working Conditions:
  • Must be able to lift and carry 50lbs.
  • Required to stand for long periods of time, stoop and bend, stretch and reach with arms extended to remove or lift boxes.

  • Must be able to withstand loud noises; noise level can be loud.
  • Non-management full-time position: Mon-Fri (8 hr shift) -- may be required to work overtime and weekend.
  • No Working Remote.
