You will introduce merchants to solutions such as credit card processing, point-of-sale systems, payment terminals, mobile payments, ecommerce processing, virtual terminals, ACH payments, cash discount programs, and other merchant services designed to help businesses accept payments efficiently and reduce processing costs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an energetic sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates confidently with business owners, and understands how consistent outreach creates measurable results.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Starting pay of $25.00 per hour
  • 10% performance-based bonus
  • Employee profit-sharing opportunities, subject to eligibility and company plan requirements
  • Insurance and employee benefits scheduled to begin in November 2026, subject to eligibility, enrollment requirements, and applicable plan terms
  • Professional training and opportunities for advancement within a growing payment technology company

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outbound calls to business owners and decision-makers across multiple industries
  • Generate and qualify leads for merchant services and payment processing solutions
  • Identify merchant pain points, including high processing fees, outdated equipment, poor customer support, funding delays, and restrictive contracts
  • Ask effective discovery questions about transaction volume, current processing providers, equipment, pricing, and business needs
  • Introduce merchants to relevant solutions, including POS systems, EMV terminals, mobile card readers, ecommerce gateways, virtual terminals, payment links, ACH processing, cash discount programs, and interchange-plus pricing
  • Request and obtain merchant processing statements when appropriate for savings and rate analyses
  • Schedule qualified appointments and facilitate warm transfers to payment consultants and account executives
  • Accurately document calls, merchant information, follow-up activities, and lead status in the company CRM
  • Maintain a consistent pipeline through disciplined calling, follow-up, and relationship building
  • Follow approved scripts while adapting conversations to each merchant’s business and specific needs
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to improve messaging, targeting, lead quality, and conversion rates
  • Maintain professionalism, honesty, and transparency in every merchant interaction
  • Meet or exceed established performance expectations for calls, qualified leads, appointments, and conversions

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous experience in merchant services, payment processing, inside sales, telemarketing, lead generation, or B2B sales is preferred
  • Knowledge of credit card processing, POS systems, merchant accounts, interchange, processing statements, or payment technology is highly desirable
  • Confident and professional telephone presence
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business owners and key decision-makers
  • Strong discovery, relationship-building, objection-handling, and consultative selling skills
  • Comfortable making high-volume outbound calls and following up consistently
  • Experience using CRM platforms and sales automation tools
  • Ability to learn payment processing products, pricing structures, and industry terminology
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and follow-up deadlines
  • Self-motivated, dependable, coachable, and performance-driven
  • Strong attention to detail and accurate data-entry skills
  • Commitment to ethical sales practices and delivering an exceptional merchant experience

What Success Looks Like

The ideal candidate does more than simply make calls. You know how to start meaningful conversations, uncover problems, earn a merchant’s trust, and create genuine opportunities for the sales team. You are persistent without being aggressive, persuasive without being misleading, and focused on helping business owners find better payment solutions.

Join our growing merchant services team and help businesses nationwide reduce costs, modernize their payment technology, and improve the way they accept payments.
