The salary range for the role is $33.54 - $39.97 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

SEIU 1199 at Mount Sinai West, BAC - Ambulance Service - WST, Mount Sinai West

1.Demonstratesthe ability to perform clinical/technical/service/administrative tasks:

2.Receivesemergency calls from dispatcher or Supervisor and promptly, safely responds toassignments.

3.Ensuresthe safety of the patient and other pre hospital personnel at all times.

4.Performsmedical histories and performs physical exams as indicated on patients in thefield.

5.Initiatesindicated treatment modalities according to written policies and medicalcontrol physician orders.

6.Providesdirect patient care from first contact through authorized hand-off at alltimes.

7.Remainsin-service until properly relieved or released by supervision.

8.Accompaniesthe patient to the ED and monitors and treats the patient duringtransportation.

9.Transportsthe patient to the appropriate emergency department and reports orally to thenurse and/or physician.

10.Writes a comprehensivereport documenting the situation at the scene, physical exam, orders received,treatments rendered, response to these treatments, and other information deemedpertinent.

11.Maintains ambulance logs andsubmits detailed incident, accident, occurrence reports and statements whenrequired.

12.Operates the vehicle andequipment in a safe manner at all times. Safeguards all equipment.

13.Maintains ambulances andother emergency vehicles and equipment in efficient working order, Replacesfuel, makes minor repairs, cleans and restocks the equipment and vehicles tomaintain NYSDOH and FDNY regulatory standards. Reports any obvious mechanicalmalfunctions or deficiencies to the supervisor immediately verbally and/or inwriting.

14.Wears issued uniform andmaintains professional appearance while on duty.

15.Maintains radio contact withFDNY at all times. Remains in assigned CSL when not on assignment.

16.Complies with departmentvehicle in-service standards, including turn-out and ED turn-around.

17.Follows NYSDOH and FDNYRules, Regulations and Protocols at all times.

18.Performs heavy and awkwardlifting of patients in difficult areas and terrain.

19.Remains Awake, Alert andAcknowledges Radio and CAD assignments promptly.
