Waldo Hospital is a 25 Bed Critical Access Hospital located in Belfast, Maine. Waldo Hospital is part of the Coastal Healthcare Alliance and the MaineHealth system.
Summary:
* No Weekends or Holiday Call*
This is a full time 36 hours a week, day shift position.
Waldo Hospital operates 3 operating rooms, performing roughly 170 cases per month. Cases included general, OB/GYN, orthopedic, podiatry, ophthalmology, urology, pain management, and ENT surgery. Our ORs are staffed weekdays until 3:00 pm.
The Surgical Technologist role assists the surgeon and Operating Room (OR) RN during surgical procedures.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
  1. Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology required.
  2. License/Certifications: Current BCLS and certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting required within 6 months of start date. Positions located in New Hampshire are required to have a New Hampshire Med Tech License or NH EMT License with National Registry Certification.
