Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) provides coordinated medical and clinical nursing care to meet the needs of each assigned patient within the ERC Pathlight system. They will partner with anย interdisciplinary team to provide quality care and aย consistentlyย therapeutic milieu for all patients.ย 

As a leader of the health care team, the RN provides professional nursing care,ย utilizingย sound clinical judgement, in alignment with ERC Pathlight's established standards of care, policies, and procedures. They are expectedย to remainย flexible,ย demonstrateย effective, efficient care whileย maintainingย quality, in alignment with ERC Pathlight's vision, mission, and strategic plan. All teammates are expected to treat patients, families, and co-workers with dignity and respect. The RN mayย be requiredย to work on-call shifts based on business needs,ย in accordance withย applicable federal, state, and local labor laws.ย 

Essential duties andย responsibilities:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย 

  • Performs a full range of nursing services including assessment, care planning, administering treatment, and evaluating patient response to careย in accordance withย the patient's treatment planย 
    • Performs initial intake assessment of new patients and discharge reconciliation and educationย 
    • Places, receives, and completes provider ordersย perย ERCP policyย 
    • Administers medications via multiple routesย in accordanceย withย ERCP policy and provider ordersย 
    • Performs phlebotomy, specimen processing, and point of care testingย in accordance withย ERCP policy and laboratory vendor protocolsย 
    • Places/maintainsย nasogastric tubes and administers enteral feedingย 
    • Places/maintainsย intravenous access and administers intravenous fluidsย 
    • Performs wound careย 
    • Documents all direct patient care, monitoring, and observation in the electronic medical recordย 
    • Supervises and delegates care toย Licensedย Practical/Vocational Nurses and Behavioral Health Techniciansย 
  • Communicates and coordinates care with the interdisciplinary treatment team to develop and implement an individualized treatment plan for each assigned patientย 
    • Ensures care providedย alignsย with the individualized treatment plan and patient outcome goalsย 
  • Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetingsย regardingย patient progress toward treatment goals and planning for continued or changing clinical interventionsย 
    • ย Documents and reports to treatment teamย regardingย patient status and progressย 
  • Participates in training, teaching, and mentoring new nursing department teammatesย 
  • Responds to emergency situations until emergency medical services (EMS/911) arrive on sceneย 

Mustย haves:ย
