Job description

 

Butler County Community College (BC3) is currently accepting applications for part-time EMS Division Instructor positions.  This is a temporary part-time position that will begin immediately.

Reporting to the Coordinator of EMS & Police Training, the EMS Division Instructor will teach EMS and/or American Heart Association courses and classes based on the following qualifications listed. 

  • The American Heart Association Instructor will provide proof of an approved instructor course completion for Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED, Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and/or Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
  • The Emergency Medical Services Instructor (EMS Instructor) will provide proof of current PA EMS Certification (EMR, EMT, AEMT, Paramedic or PHRN), proof of current PA EMS Instructor credential by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, Bureau of EMS, and proof of current instructor status for the American Heart Association – Basic Life Support.
  • The EMS Skill Instructor will provide proof of current EMS Certification at the level of EMT or higher. One year of field experience as an EMS provider or other related position in healthcare.

Hourly rate will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
