Job description

Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical/Surgical (Surgery Trauma)
Location: Atlanta, GA
Facility: Grady Memorial Hospital
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule Notes:
  • Day Shift
  • No on-call requirement
  • Floating required based on facility needs
  • No block scheduling
Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours/Week
Compensation:
Local Pay Range: $48 - $51/ hr on W2
Travel Weekly gross: $2003 - $2075/ week (Includes taxable and non-taxable amount)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week contract assignment in the Surgery Trauma Unit in Atlanta, GA. This is a high-acuity Medical/Surgical unit caring for patients with traumatic injuries and complex surgical conditions. The ideal candidate is confident in a fast-paced environment, possesses strong clinical judgment, and is committed to providing exceptional patient care.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to Medical/Surgical and Trauma patients.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital policies.
  • Monitor patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the healthcare team.
  • Care for patients with traumatic injuries, including post-operative surgical cases, gunshot wounds, spinal cord injuries, quadriplegia, and paraplegia.
  • Accurately document patient care using Epic electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, nursing support staff, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
  • Float to other appropriate units as needed based on hospital staffing requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Minimum of 2 years of recent Medical/Surgical or Surgery Trauma nursing experience
  • Previous travel nursing experience preferred
  • Current BLS certification (required)
  • ACLS certification (preferred)
  • Epic EMR experience (required)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
  • Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills
