Compensation: $103,000 - $130,000 / year

Description About the Role

The Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for supporting the implementation, optimization, and ongoing maintenance of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system within an acute care hospital environment. This role serves as a liaison between clinical staff, operational leaders, Information Technology, and EHR vendors to ensure clinical workflows are effectively integrated into the system.

The analyst collaborates with physicians, nurses, ancillary departments, and project teams to gather requirements, configure applications, develop workflows, conduct testing, and provide end-user training during all phases of the EHR implementation.

What You'll Do
  • Facilitates the review, revision, validation, and approval of clinical content for integration into healthcare information systems and EHR platforms.
  • Collaborates with clinical stakeholders to ensure system content accurately reflects current workflows, organizational objectives, and best practices in patient care.
  • Ensures information systems are implemented and maintained in compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and professional clinical practice guidelines.
  • Supports clinical departments throughout system implementation initiatives, including planning, testing, training, and go-live activities.
  • Provides ongoing application support, troubleshooting, and optimization to promote efficient system utilization and user satisfaction.
  • Partners with clinical and technical teams to identify workflow improvements and implement system enhancements that improve operational efficiency and patient outcomes.
  • Assists with change management efforts by communicating updates, gathering user feedback, and promoting adoption of new technologies and processes.
  • Monitors system performance and supports continuous improvement initiatives to ensure applications effectively meet organizational and clinical needs.
Qualifications
  • At least Two (2) years' knowledge and experience in clinical system implementations (EMR, Ancillary, Reporting Analytics, Clinical Quality, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of clinical operations in an acute care setting
  • Experience with application configuration, upgrades, release management, testing, and production support.
  • Familiarity with IT service management/ticketing processes and vendor coordination.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and ARRA Meaningful Use requirements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to multitask and maintain a work pace appropriate to workload
  • Ability to work effectively at all levels in a collaborative team environment
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Registered Nurse
  • Knowledge of CPSI/ EMR including Epic, Oracle Health (Cerner), MEDITECH Expanse, CPSI, or other acute care EHR platforms
  • Experience with interfaces and interoperability (HL7/FHIR) as a preferred qualification
Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions
  • Our organization follows an in person work structure where the expectation is to work onsite on a weekly basis. The hospital is located at 14662 Newport Ave, Tustin, CA 92780.
  • The total compensation target pay range for this role is $103,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually. The salary range represents our national target range for this role.
