Key Responsibilities (or Principal Accountabilities):

  • Load and unload containers using various forklifts, such as sit-down, reach, pallet jack, and hand trucks. Operate dock levelers. May use slip sheets and push-pull attachments.
  • Stage and organize all incoming and outgoing products.
  • Pull and prepare products for shipment efficiently to meet customer standards.
  • Stack skids or pallets in designated areas; clean up and dispose of scraps, cardboard, plastic wrap, and trash.
  • Maintain the facilityโ€™s equipment and materials in a safe, clean, and orderly manner and comply with all safety rules and procedures.
  • Use the handheld scanner to input product information accurately into the SAP system, label all products, and put away products in designated areas.
  • Effectively follow shipping and receiving procedures.
  • Assist in conducting periodic inventory counts.
  • Perform work safely, efficiently, and meet established deadlines.
  • Performed other functions and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have at least 2 years of recent Forklift experience
  • Basic math skills to count the product.
  • Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends, as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Food experience is always desired but not required.
  • Slip sheet experience is a plus.

Physical Demands:

  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Hand dexterity and strength.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

This position works in a fast-paced plant manufacturing/warehouse setting. Exposed to moving machinery, such as forklifts and production equipment. Exposed to loud noise from moving forklifts and production equipment. Exposed to extreme temperatures and dust. Must wear all required PPE, including safety hat, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, face covering, and earplugs.
