Job Title: Emissions Test Support Technician – 2nd Shift


Shift: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Emissions Test Support Technician to support vehicle emissions testing activities in a laboratory environment. This role is responsible for setting up and operating chassis dynamometers and emissions analyzers, executing EPA drive cycles, and supporting daily test operations while maintaining strict safety and quality standards.


Key Responsibilities:


Set up test vehicles on chassis dynamometers using standard operating procedures


Set up and operate chassis dynos and emissions analyzers based on engineering work requests


Drive test vehicles on a chassis dynamometer following prescribed test traces or engineering direction


Perform particulate filter measurements, including proper handling in a clean environment


Support daily test scheduling and execution


Maintain daily test cell organization, cleanliness, and basic maintenance


Participate in safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities


Work in environmental test chambers with temperatures ranging from -35°C to 50°C


Required Qualifications:


High School Diploma or GED required (Associate degree or trade school preferred)


Minimum 2+ years of hands-on chassis dynamometer emissions testing experience


Experience running EPA drive cycles, including FTP 75, US06, and HFET


Experience with emissions analyzer setup and chassis dynamometer operation


Strong commitment to safety and quality standards


Clean driving record (Motor Vehicle Record check required)



Preferred Qualifications:


General automotive repair experience


ASE Certifications


Work Environment:


Laboratory and test cell environment


Exposure to hot and cold temperature chambers
