About the role.
The Emerging Tech Analyst plays a critical role in identifying, evaluating, and supporting the adoption of new and evolving technologies that enhance McCain's AI capabilities and accelerate use-case delivery. This role focuses on researching emerging trends across AI technologies, conducting structured evaluations, supporting pilots, and translating innovative concepts into scalable, value-driven solutions within McCain's AI ecosystem.

What you'll be doing.

  • Monitor and research emerging technologies across AI, agentic systems, and the McCain technology stack

  • Evaluate business impact, technical fit, risk, and readiness of new tools and models

  • Develop recommendations for pilots, proofs of concept, and broader adoption

  • Support the design and execution of technology pilots and structured experiments

  • Partner with AI Platform & Engineering teams to transition successful pilots into deployment pathways

  • Document findings, lessons learned, and reusable assessment frameworks

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including AI Platform & Engineering, Knowledge Engineering, and business stakeholders

  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, actionable business insights

  • Identify risks related to security, privacy, compliance, and Responsible AI

  • Create and share insights, trends, and best practices across Digital Technology

What you'll need to be successful.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 3-6 years of experience in technology, innovation, or digital transformation roles

  • Strong knowledge of emerging AI technologies, models, and agentic platforms

  • Experience supporting pilots, evaluations, or early-stage technology implementations

  • Ability to assess technical concepts and communicate them in business-friendly terms

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

  • Experience in enterprise or regulated environments is a plus

About the team.
This role sits within the AI function and reports to the AI Deployment & Enablement Lead. The Emerging Tech Analyst partners closely with AI Platform & Engineering, Forward Deployment Engineers, Knowledge Engineering, and Use Case Governance & Operations teams. It is an individual contributor role with no direct reports, focused on collaboration, innovation, and enabling enterprise AI adoption.

Compensation Package:$67,200.00 -$89,600.00 . CAD annually + Bonus Eligibility
