Job Summary
At Equinix, talent is a strategic differentiator. As the Program Manager, Global Emerging Talent, you will help shape the workforce of the future by designing and delivering innovative talent solutions that build critical capabilities, accelerate business outcomes, and strengthen long-term talent pipelines.
Reporting Equinix's Integrated Talent Solutions (ITS), you will serve as a Strategic Talent Advisor and Program Owner, partnering with business leaders, HR, and talent stakeholders to align emerging talent strategies with workforce priorities and future skills needs.
Through a deep understanding of business demand, talent supply, and market dynamics, you will help leaders navigate talent decisions and create pathways that unlock opportunity, build organizational capability, and enable sustainable growth. Leveraging Talent Intelligence, Talent Marketplace capabilities, and Build-Borrow-Buy-Place principles, you will lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of global internship, apprenticeship, and trainee programs that strengthen Equinix's talent ecosystem and deliver measurable business impact.
This role is ideal for a leader who thrives at the intersection of workforce strategy, talent innovation, program execution, and organizational transformation.
Responsibilities
Strategic Talent Advisory
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business leaders, HR, and Functional Partner Teams, translating workforce demand into innovative talent solutions
  • Partner with leaders to identify future capability needs and determine how emerging talent programs can accelerate workforce readiness and business growth
  • Advise on workforce strategies using Build-Borrow-Buy-Place principles, helping leaders balance immediate hiring needs with long-term capability development
  • Leverage talent intelligence, labor market insights, and workforce data to inform decision-making, talent planning, and investment priorities
  • Influence talent decisions through a skills-based lens, ensuring alignment between business objectives and future workforce requirements

Global Emerging Talent Strategy
  • Develop and execute the global strategy for internships, apprenticeships, traineeships, and other emerging talent pathways
  • Identify opportunities to expand and modernize talent pipelines to meet evolving business and skills demands
  • Create scalable frameworks, governance models, and operating rhythms that enable consistent global delivery while supporting regional requirements
  • Drive continuous innovation in how Equinix attracts, develops, and converts emerging talent into future organizational capability

Program Leadership & Delivery
  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of global emerging talent programs, from strategy and planning through execution, measurement, and continuous improvement
  • Lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving HR, Talent Acquisition, Talent Marketplace, HR Operations, Finance, Communications, Legal, and business stakeholders
  • Establish success metrics, reporting frameworks, and dashboards that demonstrate program effectiveness, talent outcomes, and business value
  • Ensure programs are delivered with operational excellence, within budget, on schedule, and aligned with strategic objectives

Talent Marketplace & Skills-Based Talent Solutions
  • Partner closely with Talent Marketplace and workforce planning stakeholders to integrate emerging talent pathways into broader talent strategies
  • Enable skills-based talent practices by connecting program design to future capabilities, workforce priorities, and business outcomes
  • Create pathways that support long-term career growth, internal mobility, and workforce sustainability
  • Identify opportunities to connect emerging talent initiatives with enterprise transformation and workforce planning efforts

Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
  • Build trusted partnerships with leaders across the business, Human Resources, and Integrated Talent Solutions
  • Influence decision-making by translating complex workforce challenges into clear, actionable talent strategies
  • Deliver compelling executive communications, recommendations, and presentations to senior leaders and governance forums
  • Act as a visible advocate for emerging talent, workforce innovation, and skills-based talent strategies across the enterprise

Change Leadership
  • Lead change initiatives associated with talent transformation and workforce innovation efforts
  • Develop stakeholder engagement, communication, and adoption strategies that drive successful implementation and sustainable outcomes
  • Foster alignment across global teams and create momentum around new ways of building and developing talent

Qualifications
Required
  • 7+ years of experience leading enterprise-wide programs, workforce initiatives, or talent strategies in Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Workforce Planning, Talent Management, or related functions
  • Demonstrated success partnering with senior leaders to influence strategy, drive change, and deliver business outcomes
  • Experience managing complex, global, cross-functional programs and organizational initiatives
  • Strong program management, stakeholder management, and change leadership capabilities
  • Excellent executive communication, facilitation, and consulting skills
  • Ability to translate workforce challenges into scalable talent solutions
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Preferred
  • Experience building, scaling, or optimizing internship, apprenticeship, trainee, or other emerging talent programs
  • Experience with Talent Marketplace, workforce planning, talent intelligence, talent mobility, or skills-based workforce practices
  • Knowledge of Build-Borrow-Buy-Place and strategic workforce planning methodologies
  • Experience operating within complex, global organizations undergoing transformation
  • Program, project management, agile, or change management certifications

Our pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire pay for the full-time position determined by role, level, and location.The pay range shown is based on our compensation structure in place at the time of posting and may be updated periodically based on business needs. Individual pay is based on additional factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education and/or training.
