Job description

Overview:

In this position, experience is a plus but not necessary as RCR will train and provide the appropriate resources for success. RCR Mitigation Technicians provide emergency restoration and disaster recovery services to residential and commercial property owners. Technicians are responsible for mitigation and demolition activities, scheduling phases of work and coordinating with subcontractors on various aspects of projects.


Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Proven ability to multitask and is detail oriented
  • Ability to work within a team or independently
  • Effectively assess the damage and help with the initial site inspection
  • Prepare & operate extraction & drying equipment
  • High level performance of water mitigation, board up and mold remediation
  • Demolition including, but not limited to, removing carpet, pad, flooring, drywall, insulation, etc. from the job site
  • Maintain a clean, properly stocked, organized truck and maintain all equipment
  • Responsible to report accurate records and complete paperwork for each job
  • Work under time constraints to meet expected timelines
  • Proactively communicate jobsite conditions and concerns
  • Focus and dedication to providing excellent customer service
  • Willing and able to be accessible by phone and respond to after-hour/weekend emergencies, as necessary, in the on-call schedule
  • Out of town/state travel is a possibility


Physical Demands:

  • Traveling to each job location requires the safe operation of a company vehicle
  • Ability to lift 75 LBS frequently
  • Working in confined spaces
  • Requires bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching, kneeling, lifting, pushing, pulling, crouching, balancing, walking, standing
  • Due to the nature of the work, the jobs site can often be dirty, possibly cold or wet, and sometimes unsanitary


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Related experience in Construction, Restoration, Insurance preferred, but not required
  • IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FRST, OR AMRT) are preferred but not required
  • Mitigation and water drying experience preferred but not required
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools and their uses
  • Attire must meet OSHA requirements for the specific job site
  • Using protection through the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)
  • Must pass a Fit Test for proper fit of respirator
  • Motivated and organized person with a positive attitude
  • Personable and professional, whose dedicated to customer service
  • Team player
  • Desire to continually learn new things
  • Able to pass a background check
  • Able to provide a valid driver's license
  • Fluent in English
