You will provide:

  • Confined space monitoring and rescue standby
  • High-angle and technical rope rescue capability
  • Permit oversight and safety documentation review
  • First aid and emergency response support
  • Professional safety presence representing both PK Safety and the client

You will be expected to identify hazards, intervene when necessary, and maintain strict adherence to safe work practices and regulatory standards.

Who We’re Looking For

Experience in the following fields is strongly preferred, but is not required:

  • First Responders
  • Military Veterans
  • EMTs/ Paramedics
  • Firefighters
  • Law Enforcement Officers

Candidates with industrial safety, security, construction, rope access, arborist, refinery, turnaround, or plant experience are highly encouraged to apply.

All qualified candidates will be considered. We are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates professionalism, sound judgment, strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety excellence.

Compensation & Travel Coverage

  • Competitive weekly compensation (up to $2,332+ per week, including overtime)
  • Daily per diem and travel bonuses (up to $150 per day)
  • Travel in fully equipped company rescue trucks
  • Company-paid hotel accommodations during travel assignments
  • Mileage reimbursement at the current federal rate if personal vehicle use is required

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide confined space monitoring and emergency rescue response
  • Maintain readiness of rescue systems and equipment
  • Review and support confined space permits and safety documentation
  • Assist in Job Safety Environmental Analyses (JSEAs) and hazard assessments
  • Maintain accurate shift reports and project documentation
  • Ensure compliance with client standards and applicable safety regulations
  • Intervene and communicate effectively when unsafe conditions are observed
  • Always represent PK Safety with professionalism

Qualifications & Professional Expectations

Candidates must be able to:

  • Successfully complete pre-employment and ongoing drug/alcohol screenings
  • Successfully complete in-house technical rope and confined space rescue training
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail in safety documentation, including permitting, JSEAs, shift reports, and other safety-related records
  • Exercise sound judgment and maintain composure in high-risk environments
  • Work comfortably at heights exceeding 50 feet
  • Work safely in confined spaces
  • Lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
  • Work in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, snow)
  • Wear SCBA and respiratory protection
  • Operate in industrial environments with loud noise, temperature extremes, and demanding conditions

Full-Time Benefits

  • Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays
  • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance
  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
  • Health Savings Account (HSA)
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Company-Paid Life Insurance
  • Company-Paid Short- and Long-Term Disability
