Job description

G. Warren Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Plumber to join our team in Manchester, TN.

Licensed Plumber – Startup Plumbing CompanyPosition Overview

We are seeking an experienced, dependable Licensed Plumber with 3–4 years of professional plumbing experience to help launch and grow a new plumbing company.

This is an opportunity for someone who wants to be more than just an employee. You will play an important role in helping establish our reputation, service standards, operating procedures, and company culture while having the opportunity to grow into a leadership position as the business expands.

During our startup phase, our primary focus will be emergency plumbing services. We are looking for someone who understands the importance of fast response, accurate diagnosis, quality workmanship, and excellent customer service.

As our customer base grows, we will expand into scheduled service, repairs, replacements, installations, maintenance, remodeling, and other residential and light commercial plumbing services.

Emergency Service Focus

The Licensed Plumber must be comfortable responding to emergency and urgent plumbing situations, including:

  • Burst and leaking water lines

  • Major plumbing leaks

  • Water heater failures

  • Clogged or overflowing toilets

  • Drain and sewer backups

  • Failed shutoff valves

  • Broken plumbing fixtures

  • Frozen or damaged water lines

  • Emergency water shutoffs

  • Plumbing-related water damage

  • Other urgent plumbing failures

The plumber must be willing to participate in after-hours, evening, weekend, and on-call emergency service according to the company's established schedule.

Our goal is to become known as the company customers can depend on when they have a plumbing emergency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform residential and light commercial plumbing service, repair, replacement, and installation.

  • Respond promptly and professionally to emergency plumbing calls.

  • Diagnose plumbing problems and recommend appropriate solutions.

  • Take immediate action when necessary to prevent additional property damage.

  • Repair and replace water heaters, faucets, toilets, fixtures, valves, water lines, drain lines, and other plumbing components.

  • Perform drain cleaning and troubleshoot sewer and drainage problems.

  • Complete installations and repairs according to applicable plumbing codes.

  • Maintain clean, organized, and professional jobsites.

  • Protect customers' homes and property.

  • Perform quality-control inspections before completing jobs.

Customer Service

Every customer interaction is important as we build our company's reputation.

The Licensed Plumber will be expected to:

  • Communicate professionally with customers.

  • Clearly explain plumbing problems and available solutions.

  • Provide repair and replacement options when appropriate.

  • Assist with estimates and pricing recommendations.

  • Obtain approval before performing additional work.

  • Identify legitimate repair and preventative-maintenance opportunities without high-pressure sales tactics.

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience.

  • Help generate repeat business, referrals, and positive reviews.

Helping Build the Company

Because this is a startup, this position will also have an opportunity to help develop the plumbing operation.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Establishing emergency response and on-call procedures.

  • Helping develop service procedures and best practices.

  • Assisting with standardized service and emergency pricing.

  • Determining necessary tools, equipment, and materials.

  • Establishing service-truck organization and inventory standards.

  • Identifying commonly needed emergency repair materials.

  • Helping develop jobsite and quality-control checklists.

  • Assisting with supplier and inventory management.

  • Helping train future technicians and apprentices.

  • Providing input on equipment purchases and operational improvements.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3–4 years of professional, hands-on plumbing experience required.

  • Current and valid plumbing license required.

  • Strong residential service plumbing experience.

  • Ability to independently diagnose and repair plumbing problems.

  • Experience with service, repair, replacement, and installation.

  • Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and safety requirements.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure during emergency situations.

  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.

  • Professional appearance and attitude.

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.

  • Ability to safely operate plumbing tools and equipment.

  • Willingness to participate in emergency and after-hours service.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who:

  • Wants to help build a plumbing company from the ground up.

  • Takes ownership and pride in their work.

  • Is dependable when customers need us most.

  • Can work independently without constant supervision.

  • Treats customers and their property with respect.

  • Understands the importance of reputation when building a new company.

  • Is willing to help solve problems and improve processes.

  • Values honesty, quality workmanship, accountability, and teamwork.

  • Wants the opportunity to grow with the company.

Compensation & Growth Opportunity

Competitive compensation will be based on licensing, experience, technical ability, availability, and responsibilities.

Potential benefits may include:

  • Competitive hourly or salary compensation

  • Emergency/on-call compensation

  • Performance incentives or bonuses

  • Company vehicle and fuel card

  • Company-provided tools and equipment

  • Company phone or phone allowance

  • Paid training and continuing education

  • Paid licensing/certification expenses

  • Paid time off

  • Advancement opportunities

As the company grows, this position has the potential to advance into a Lead Plumber, Plumbing Service Manager, or Plumbing Operations Manager role.

Our Goal

We are building a plumbing company centered around fast response, quality workmanship, exceptional customer service, fair and transparent pricing, and long-term customer relationships.

Our initial focus will be emergency plumbing services while we establish the company and grow our customer base. We will then expand into a comprehensive plumbing service operation.

We are looking for an experienced Licensed Plumber who wants to help build something from the ground up and become an important part of the company's future.
