Nuvance Health is seeking a per diem Emergency Physician to join the team at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT. This role offers the opportunity to work in an accredited Level II Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Chest Pain Center, treating a high volume of patients annually. The position is employed, offering a competitive hourly rate within a collegial and stable team environment.

Practice Info

  • Primarily based at Danbury Hospital in Danbury, CT, with coverage at New Milford Hospital.
  • Danbury Hospital's Emergency Department is an accredited Level II Trauma Center, a Stroke Center, and a Chest Pain Center.
  • Danbury Hospital treats about 70,000 patients annually, with approximately 900 trauma cases.
  • New Milford Hospital's ER treats 16,000 patients annually in a newly renovated department.
  • The team consists of 22 physicians and 14 physician assistants providing 24/7 coverage at both locations.
  • Danbury Hospital is a 371-bed not-for-profit community hospital and a teaching hospital associated with multiple universities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide a variety of clinical medical services to patients presenting to the Hospital's emergency department.
  • Perform evaluation and management of patients.

Compensation

  • Highly competitive hourly rate
  • Salary: $225-$250/hr depending upon shift

Shift & Schedule

  • Willing to work about 2 variable shifts per month as needed

Requirements

  • MD or DO with successful completion of Emergency Medicine Residency
  • CT State license, CSR and Federal Narcotic Use Registration (DEA)
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
  • Current ACLS/ATLS/PALS required
