Job description

Title: Video Surveillance Operator

Location: 5235 Ponderosa Way, Las Vegas, NV - 89118

Contract Duration: 6+ Months Contract with potential for fulltime conversion

Schedules (5x8, 30min unpaid lunch)

Graveyard Shift: 10:30 PM – 7:00 AM | Tuesday–Saturday

Occasional overtime — not mandatory, but must be flexible for up to 20 minutes over shift if stuck on an active call.

Weekend availability is required.

Interview: 1‑hour onsite interview + shadow session (30 mins each)

Mandatory Training Requirement

All new hires, regardless of assigned shift, are required to complete mandatory training on the Swing Shift schedule.

Training Schedule

  • Saturday - Wednesday
  • 6:00 PM - 11:00 PM
  • Duration: Two weeks

Important:

  • Candidates must be fully available and committed to the entire training schedule.
  • Failure to meet this requirement may result in offer withdrawal.
  • Training may be extended to a third week if additional time is needed to successfully complete training requirements.

Supplier Action Required: Please confirm candidate availability for the full training schedule before submission.

Onboarding Schedule

New hire onboarding will take place:

  • Tuesday - Friday
  • 12:00 PM - 4:30 PM

Role Overview

Our client is seeking dependable, detail-oriented Surveillance Operators to join their Operations Center in Las Vegas. This is a fully onsite, desk-based monitoring role responsible for observing live video surveillance feeds, identifying suspicious or unsafe activity, and responding appropriately through audio intervention and incident escalation.

Operators monitor multiple properties nationwide using proprietary surveillance technology and coordinate with law enforcement, emergency responders, and property representatives as needed.

Please Note:

  • This is not a casino surveillance position.
  • This role is not located on the Las Vegas Strip.
  • This position requires continuous computer-based monitoring in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor multiple live video surveillance feeds simultaneously.
  • Identify unauthorized, suspicious, or unsafe activity in real time.
  • Issue live audio warnings when appropriate.
  • Contact law enforcement, first responders, or property contacts for active incidents.
  • Create accurate and detailed incident reports.
  • Navigate multiple monitors, software applications, and browser tabs concurrently.
  • Maintain vigilance and focus throughout the shift.
  • Escalate technical concerns to IT support when necessary.
  • Adhere to attendance, punctuality, and performance expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly in English.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and confidence speaking with law enforcement and property managers.
  • Proficient computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple applications and monitors simultaneously.
  • Minimum typing speed of 40 WPM.
  • Strong attention to detail and situational awareness.
  • Ability to remain seated and focused for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Must be available to work weekends.
  • Must be able to successfully complete mandatory training requirements.
