The Difference You Will Make:

The Facilities & Maintenance team at LC is seeking a Maintenance Intern to gain hands-on experience by shadowing members of our maintenance team while supporting a positive resident and community experience aligned with our core values. In this role, the intern will assist with a variety of general maintenance tasks and services at an assigned community, learning day-to-day operations and best practices in property maintenance.

Who You Are:

  • Assists the maintenance team with resident service requests and apartment turns under supervision, learning how to deliver timely, high-quality service and positive resident experiences.
  • Supports the upkeep of community grounds, clubhouses, buildings, pool areas, and other common spaces to help maintain company quality standards.
  • Learns proper use and care of company tools and equipment, while keeping work areas clean and following all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Shadows team members during emergency service calls on a rotational basis
  • Helps maintain overall community appearance and curb appeal by assisting with trash removal, pet waste station upkeep, and general cleanliness throughout the property.

What You'll Bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; current enrollment in or recent completion of a technical, trade, or related educational program is preferred.
  • This is a summer internship designed to provide hands-on learning; prior maintenance or facilities experience is a plus but not required.
  • Interest in pursuing a long-term career in property maintenance, with a desire to transition into a full-time role with Lifestyle Communities upon successful completion of the internship.
  • Strong customer service mindset, willingness to learn, and ability to follow direction while developing time management and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to safely use basic tools and equipment under supervision and follow all safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Valid, Unrestricted Driver's License
