Job description

Esposito's Electric, a well-established and local electrical contractor, is seeking a skilled and reliable Journeyman Electrician that specializes in residential generator installations. We are a leading provider of home backup power solutions in the area.

This position offers a dedicated focus on generator work,from sizing and placementto installation and startup. It will allow you to specialize in a high-demand field and take ownership of projects from start to finish. You'll be responsible for ensuring our neighbors have the power they need during storms and outages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install wiring and equipment in a residential generator installation setting.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and perform effective repairs.
  • Ensure all work is performed in strict accordance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and all applicable local and state codes.
  • Respond to after-hours emergency calls as required by the on-call schedule.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment and ensure proper care and use of company tools and equipment.
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, colleagues, and project managers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of5 yearsof verifiable field experience in residential electrical work.
  • Valid New Jersey Journeyman Electrician license is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. A CDL license is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass a drug screening and criminal background check.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding of electrical principles and theory.
  • A "team-player" attitude with a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
