Job description

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is seeking an experienced and motivated Nurse Manager to join our Emergency Department leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to lead a dedicated, highperforming team while making a meaningful impact on patient care in a closeknit, communityfocused hospital.
 
The Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse with 24hour accountability for the operation of the Emergency Department and is responsible for ensuring excellent clinical quality, patient experience, staff engagement, and operational stewardship in alignment with Copley Hospital’s mission and values.
About the Emergency Department
 
Our Emergency Department includes 17 patient rooms with a centralized nursing station and cares for over 13,000 patients annually. The team provides care across all ages and acuity levels, with a strong focus on rapid assessment, stabilization, and safe, effective treatment.
 
The department is supported by an ED Care Coordinator who assists patients with access to followup care, referrals, social supports (including food and housing resources), and care coordination for high utilizers—allowing clinical staff to focus on delivering exceptional care while maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards.
 
This is a collaborative, highenergy environment that values critical thinking, strong clinical judgment, teamwork, and clear communication.

This position is Full-Time (PT available).

Competitive compensation: $89,000 – $99,000 annually

The posted salary range reflects compensation for candidates with limited experience. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. An offer of employment may be outside of the posted range based on those factors.

The Nurse Manager provides leadership through direct management of nursing staff, collaboration with medical providers and hospital leadership, and partnership with vendors and support services. Required Education
  • BSN or BS (or currently enrolled in a BSN/BS program)
Preferred Education
  • MS or MSN
Required Experience
  • 3–5 years of current clinical nursing experience
  • 1–2 years of nursing management experience
  • Experience with quality improvement and fiscal management
