Job description

Location: Batavia, IL
Job Type:  Full Time | Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $20 –$40/hour (Pay based on experience)
Shift: 1st Shift
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM

We're hiring experienced Machine Operators for a well-established flexible packaging company in Batavia, IL. We are seeking highly qualified candidates with strong machine setup experience and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities:
• Set up and operate packaging/converting equipment
• Monitor machines to ensure efficient operation and quality output
• Perform troubleshooting and assist with preventative maintenance
• Understand machine documentation and interfaces
• Follow safety procedures, including emergency stops/E-stops
• Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Work closely with Quality, Material Handlers, and other operators
• Support additional production needs as assigned

Requirements:
• At least 6 months of machine operating & setup experience
• Flexible packaging experience strongly preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• High attention to detail
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, climb stairs/ladders, and stand for extended periods
