Job description

Material Handler - Dexter, MI
Pay: Starting at $17/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
We are currently hiring a Material Handler in Dexter, MI. This position is responsible for operating pan washers, auger-type parts washers, vapor degreasers, and vibratory machines. We're looking for someone dependable, safety-focused, and capable of working well in a team-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • 1. Basic computer skills.
    2. Ability to accurately use scales and perform weight counting.
    3. Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds and occasionally above 50 pounds.
    4. Ability to learn and make decisions on proper handling and cycle type for
    washing/degreasing parts.
    5. Requires following written and/or verbal directions to ensure the proper processing of
    parts through vibratory operations.
    6. Ability to deliver parts to the required locations in a timely manner.
    7. A valid forklift permit is required.
    8. Required to work efficiently with co-workers on the team and customers in other departments.
    9. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • Basic computer skills
  • Valid forklift permit (or willingness to obtain-training provided)
  • Ability to follow instructions and make data-driven decisions
  • Good attendance and communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong teamwork ethic
