Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Resolute Counseling, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's unique trauma history and current mental health status.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience-building techniques, and measurable therapeutic goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring a tailored approach to each clientโ€™s needs.
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to process trauma, develop healthy coping strategies, and promote emotional healing.
  • Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other mental health professionals to ensure an integrative approach to patient care, tailoring strategies that effectively address co-occurring disorders.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support for clients experiencing trauma-related emergencies or acute distress.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, improve understanding of mental health, and provide resources that foster ongoing recovery.
  • Maintain thorough and confidential documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards, ensuring clarity and continuity of care for each patient.
  • Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development sessions that focus on trauma-informed practices.
  • Stay informed about the latest research, best practices, and developments in the field of trauma therapy to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will work primarily with adults and adolescents coping with the aftermath of traumatic experiences. Your expertise will provide essential support to those dealing with PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, facilitating their journey towards healing and resilience.

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
  • Strong knowledge of trauma-related disorders and therapeutic techniques specific to trauma recovery.
