Blue Bliss Counseling Services is actively seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our dynamic team. This position is fully remote, providing you with the flexibility to work from your chosen environment while engaging with clients through telehealth platforms. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate each patient's trauma history, utilizing standardized assessment tools to inform their treatment plan.
  • Develop and implement customized treatment plans specifically aimed at trauma recovery, ensuring that therapeutic goals align with each patient's journey towards resilience.
  • Provide evidence-based interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), delivering both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Facilitate therapeutic group sessions designed for trauma survivors, nurturing an environment of shared experience and mutual support while teaching coping strategies.
  • Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members to create an integrated care plan that comprehensively addresses the patient's needs.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating your ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and therapeutic resources available to them, empowering them in their healing process.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of all patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals who are survivors of trauma, including those dealing with PTSD and complex trauma histories. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience, specifically in a mental health counseling or therapy setting.
