Job description
Description Coordinates the dual enrollment activities with all secondary schools within the EMCC district in coordination with the director of dual enrollment. Responsible for instructional, and career counseling and other duties as related to these functions. Duties Essential Job Functions 1.
Works with the admissions department and local high schools to onboard new students in the dual enrollment program; 2. Works with the Director to coordinate the activities of the district's Dual Enrollment Program; 3. Establishes and maintains contact with high school administrators as assigned by the director; 4.
Develops marketing strategies and presentations as assigned by the director; 5. Coordinates in-service training for secondary/postsecondary administrators/counselors; 6. Assists with staff development on both secondary and post-secondary levels; 7.
Coordinates articulation processes and holds annual meetings; 8. Assists with the purchase of educational materials that are related to the dual enrollment program; 9. Disseminates curriculum, counseling, and other program materials to district schools; 10.
Attends national, state, and regional meetings to stay abreast of the dual enrollment initiative; 11. Coordinates, monitors, and assists in evaluation of the project and sites; 12. Gathers data and information related to dual enrollment as requested and needed; 13.
Assists with college-wide recruiting and retention activities. 14. Advises students about content and structure of postsecondary programs including graduation and/or transfer requirements for a particular program of study.
15. Audits, monitors, and evaluates individual student academic progress. 16.
Provides information to students regarding degree requirements and advise appropriately with regard to academic progress or deficiencies. 17. Completes and maintains required student reports and records; 18.
Participates in the development and delivery of New Student Orientation; 19. Advise students in the registration process and through; 20. Maintains familiarity with the current Articulation Agreement and all 2+2 agreements between the College and other postsecondary institutions; 21.
Assists in the development and execution of short- and long-range plans for the Counseling Center and College. Qualifications and Required Documents Education: Master's degree in education or counseling preferred, Master's degree required Skills: Strong work ethic, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, required; Office management skills, required; Work Experience include required number of years documented experience in a comparable/related position: 3 years relevant work experience required Other Qualifications: Documented experience of working with high school students, teachers, counselors, administrators and parents.
