COMPANY DESCRIPTION

We are a Tempe based Safety & Promotional Marketing Company located just west of Downtown Tempe and ASU! We are an exciting, fast-paced company and we are expanding fast!

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Sportex Apparel is looking for an Embroidery Operator. With full-time availability in the afternoon schedule 11AM to 7:30PM. We are a well-established one-stop shop meeting the needs of our customers in multiple avenues.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain high level of embroidery quality
  • Knowledge in proper tensions
  • Be able to operate up to a 15 head embroidery machine without assistance
  • Be able to operate multiple single heads at the same time
  • Perform basic maintenance to keep machines running in optimal condition
  • Operate embroidery machines set up for hat hoops as well as flat hoops
  • Study paperwork to fully understand what the finished product needs to look like
  • Decorate numerous types of products from headwear, apparel, bags, etc

Embroidery Qualifications / Skills:

  • Great communication skills
  • Ability to learn processes and systems quickly
  • Ability to lift 20 lbs
  • Ability to stand and walk throughout entire shift
  • Ability to efficiently execute on management directive
  • Occasional Saturday schedule availability
  • Positive attitude
  • Knowledge on machine tensioning

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year in related experience preferred
