Job Title: Senior Solutions Manager

Department: Engineering

The Senior Solutions Manager - Payments will be responsible for leading the design, development, and deployment of cutting-edge payment solutions across DFS's product portfolio, including In Dispenser Point Of Sale - iDPOS platform. This role will oversee a team of software engineers focused on delivering secure, compliant, and scalable payment technologies across markets.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines technical depth, strategic vision, and strong people management skills to drive engineering excellence and product innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a global engineering team developing payment software solution, including card readers, payment terminals, POS systems, and contactless payment integrations.
Own the end-to-end engineering lifecycle for payment products, from design to development, testing, certification, and support.
Drive the delivery and continuous improvement of the payment platform, ensuring alignment with compliance standards (e.g., EMV, PCI-SSF) and integration with DFS's broader technology stack.
Collaborate with Product Management, Compliance, QA, and Operations teams to ensure payment products meet functional, security, and regulatory requirements.
Establish and enforce high engineering standards, including code quality, CI/CD pipelines, performance monitoring, and security best practices.
Manage vendor relationships and certification support .

Prioritize and allocate engineering resources based on business priorities, product roadmaps, and team strengths.
Mentor and develop engineering talent, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting career growth.
Identify emerging trends and technologies in the payments industry and evaluate their relevance to DFS's platform strategy.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science.
10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 5 years in a technical leadership or management role, ideally in payments, POS, or embedded systems.
Proven experience delivering compliant and secure payment systems (EMV L1/L2/L3, PCI, contactless, mobile).
Strong knowledge of embedded software, Linux-based systems, cloud services, and system integration in payment environments.
Experience with secure coding practices, cryptography, key management, and payment certifications.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, global, matrixed environment.
Preferred Experience:
Familiarity with fuel retail technologies, forecourt controllers, and dispenser integration.
Working knowledge of DFS platforms.
