Job Description
If you are looking for a challenging opportunity to support customers by phone and in person while working with SQL databases, Windows and Linux Servers, create specifications for new software by gathering data and writing technical documents, test new software, lead an implementation team to install new software on-site, train customers in how to use it, be able to grow with us (we prefer to promote from within) then you need look no further. The candidate who has a programming degree who likes doing a variety of different things, likes working with people and doing some traveling, would be ideal.
We are a help-desk facility, NOT a call center; we receive calls from a specific number of clients, seldom from the general public. We are not looking for contract work. Qualifications
Self-starter that can work in a team environment
โ€ข Provide end user desktop/phone support to determine and resolve end user support issues
โ€ข Good communications, customer service and basic accounting skills
โ€ข Install hardware and customized software on-site
โ€ข Ability to train customers in use of software and hardware
โ€ข Must live within driving distance of our office, we do not do remote work
โ€ข Knowledge, or ability to learn, basic command line functions for Windows and Linux servers
โ€ข Manage projects, knowledge of software development life cycle, gathering technical data, creation of requirements documentation (specifically dealing with SRS documentation, Use Cases, and UML Diagrams) and basic functional understanding of relational databases required
โ€ข Perform Quality Assurance on new software
โ€ข Some overnight travel will be necessary (company vehicles and credit cards are provided for expenses, plus a daily perdiem for food, etc.)
โ€ข A 4 year degree is highly preferred but not required (higher education is a plus)
