Job description

HIRING: Hardware Engineer

Location: Woodridge, IL

Responsibilities:
• Design and develop analog and digital hardware for embedded systems
• Perform ground-up circuit and board design
• Design electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and support board bring-up and validation
• Work with microprocessors and microcontrollers in embedded applications
• Support new product development and redesign of gauges, clusters, displays, sensors, controllers, telematics, and similar electronic assemblies
• Support sustaining engineering and existing hardware improvements
• Identify replacement components for obsolescence and supply chain requirements
• Document hardware designs, design decisions, and test results

Essential Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field with 5–7 years of experience OR Master’s degree with 3–4 years of relevant experience
• Hands-on analog and digital hardware design experience
• Experience designing hardware from the ground up
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design
• Experience with microprocessors and microcontrollers
• Experience with mixed-signal circuits, DC/AC, and AC/DC applications
• Experience designing embedded hardware for displays, clusters, modules, telematics, or similar products
• Strong understanding of electrical and electronics engineering principles
• Experience with component selection and sourcing

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
• Experience with ICs, FPGAs, and mixed-signal PCB designs
• Automotive electronics experience preferred
