In this role, you will play a key part in designing cutting-edge embedded systems for new products while enhancing and advancing existing product platforms to meet evolving customer needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

· Develop, document, and maintain robust and structured code for all Trimm’s embedded designs. · Assist in the design of power distribution products from ideation to launch including power and alarm schematics, PCB layouts, wire assemblies, and mechanical design. · Responsible for the full life cycle of embedded solutions including design, qualification with independent third parties, and DFMA implementation and improvement. · Research problems to understand the root causes and then offer design recommendations for new and existing product lines. · Continually adapt solutions from various disciplines to solve problems. · Assist with independent third-party testing of products by understanding the applicable standards, monitoring the testing of the products, and providing any technical support required including the modification of code. · Review drawings, plans, specifications, and other customer documentation as requested. · Work with the rest of the Trimm team to review engineering design changes and recommend modifications to minimize cost and ease of manufacturing. · Follow and refine established filing guidelines for engineering documentation to facilitate accurate revision control and communication.

Minimum Qualifications · BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering and 2+ years electrical design experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

· Experience creating embedded system programming with C, C++ and low-level firmware.

· Ability to understand and define embedded hardware systems from a lower-level perspective.

· Experience with Digital Communication Protocols -SPI, I2C, UART, MODBUS

· Experience with Networking Protocol - TCP/IP

· Experience with Version control - Git

· Experience with ARM Cortex M/A series

· Experience with Copilot, Claude Code, and Openclaw for code development

· RTOS (preferred)

· Unit testing framework- CPPUTest / GoogleTest (preferred)

· Ability to read electrical schematics and diagnose electrical circuit issues and faults and recommend solutions.

· Familiarity with CAD and Circuit Design software packages a plus.

· Ability to communicate technical specifications and standards to outside organizations a plus.

· Strong knowledge of circuit operation, and ability to quickly learn advanced circuit theory concepts a plus. · Experience working with advanced instrumentation like oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and logic probes a plus.
