Overview

The Revenue AI and Automation Strategist is responsible for identifying, shaping, and advancing high-impact AI and automation opportunities across the revenue lifecycle. This role sits at the intersection of revenue process, technology, seller experience, and innovation. Its purpose is to translate business friction points and moments that matter into practical AI-enabled solutions that improve productivity, decision quality, process consistency, and revenue outcomes. This leader will work across RT2 pillars, RevOps partners, Digital, PDIT, and business stakeholders to define a pragmatic roadmap for AI and automation in revenue. The role is not purely technical and not purely strategic; it is designed to connect business need, process stewardship, technology capability, and change adoption so that AI investments solve real problems and scale responsibly.


Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic identification and prioritization of revenue AI and automation opportunities across the revenue lifecycle
  • Develop business cases, use-case frameworks, and roadmap recommendations tied to measurable business outcomes
  • Partner across RT2, RevOps, Digital, and technology teams to define requirements, dependencies, and implementation approaches for priority initiatives
  • Serve as a subject matter leader on revenue AI and automation trends, capabilities, risks, and practical application within the business
  • Define success metrics and monitor performance of pilots and scaled solutions, recommending refinements based on business results and user feedback
  • Assess current-state tools and workflows to identify embedded AI capabilities, automation opportunities, redundancies, and orchestration gaps
  • Support responsible adoption by partnering with compliance, legal, security, and risk stakeholders to ensure solutions meet enterprise expectations
  • Collaborate with enablement and business stakeholders to support rollout, adoption, and behavior change for new capabilities
  • Research market trends, vendor capabilities, and competitor practices to inform strategic recommendations and future-state planning
  • Prepare executive-ready updates, recommendations, and decision materials for leadership forums

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, Operations, or related field preferred - Required
  • Master's Degree in Operations Management / Business Process Management / Business Administration - Preferred
  • 9+ years leading Revenue technology ecosystems Proven success in designing and managing cross-functional enterprise transformation Demonstrable track record with pilot-to-scale implementation of new capabilities.
  • 3+ years in AI-enabled product, process, or workflow initiatives, automation strategy and implementation, and/or business process redesign tied to technology enablement.
  • AI / Machine Learning Fundamentals Certification : Google Professional Machine Learning Engineer, Microsoft Azure AI Engineer Associate, or equivalent

Compensation
In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share that the starting base pay range for this position is $149,800-$235,400 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is the base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position. If you are hired at Paychex, your overall compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience which may result in total compensation outside of this range.
