Join our Team Supporting the Air Force Research Laboratory

ASRC Federal Systems Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking aย Senior Project Schedulerย to support theย Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL)ย atย Edwards Air Force Base, California.

In this role, you will provide advanced scheduling support for complex propulsion test operations by coordinating site-wide test schedules, identifying resource conflicts, and ensuring test facilities are prepared to support mission-critical activities.

What You'll Do

  • Provide advanced scheduling support for customer test programs.
  • Maintain oversight of all site projects and recommend schedule improvements and efficiencies.
  • Develop, maintain, and update integrated project schedules using Microsoft Project.
  • Track project status, document schedule changes, and incorporate progress updates.
  • Identify project milestones, critical activities, and resource requirements.
  • Develop project logic networks and analyze activity sequencing and dependencies.
  • Identify and document schedule interdependencies across multiple projects.
  • Coordinate with project resource analysts to ensure alignment between schedules and staffing.
  • Perform schedule analysis to evaluate project performance, identify risks, and recommend recovery plans.
  • Monitor contractor schedules to ensure compliance with Schedule Management Plans, Statements of Work (SOW), and Contract Data Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
  • Support critical path analysis, what-if scenarios, schedule recovery planning, and vertical/horizontal traceability.
  • Train and mentor junior schedulers while providing scheduling guidance to both contractor and DoD personnel.
  • Evaluate scheduling tools and recommend software enhancements to improve reporting and visibility.
  • Maintain daily activity logs and support test operations by monitoring communications from test areas regarding operational status.
  • Ensure compliance with AFRL policies, regulations, and procedural requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree andย 5โ€“7 years of relevant scheduling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex project schedules usingย Microsoft Project.
  • Strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), schedule logic, critical path methodology, and schedule analysis.
  • Experience identifying schedule risks, resource conflicts, and project dependencies.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical teams, program leadership, and government customers.
  • Experience supporting large-scale engineering, aerospace, defense, or research programs is preferred.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one.
