Responsibilities
Student worker will support alumni relations and development efforts through financial and administrative processes, coordinate alumni and donor communications, and engagement initiatives. This role offers meaningful exposure to nonprofit operations and relationship-driven work that translates across a wide range of professional fields. Responsibilities and Areas of Focus Processes finance-related documents for the department including, - Alumni Membership dues - Event revenue - Event expenses - Gift allocations Assist Development team with following tasks, - Prepping and writing thank you letters to ensure high-quality stewardship of Donors - Coordinating Alumni visits for Major Senior Gifts Officer by way of phone and email outreach to prospective donors - Managing print and mailing of monthly birthday cards Assist with and manage marketing email schedule though email platform, Constant Contact. - Monthly birthday emails to all Alumni - Membership renewal reminders to Alumni Association members - Car tag renewals to AUM car tag holders As time permits, assist Advancement team with tasks listed below - P-card reconciliation - Researching and proposing Alumni Association program advancements - Identifying alumni with significant achievements and coordinate outreach and engagement - Additional requests as needed.
Qualifications
Prefer a graduate student or Undergraduate student with at least one semester of office experience and 60 credit hours completed.
This position requires the ability to exercise good judgment and excellent oral and written communication skills. Office experience is preferred.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong attention to detail and work ethic. - High initiative to complete tasks to the best of their ability. - Positive demeanor and eagerness to learn. - Confident in ability to keep up with work in a fast-paced environment. - Comfortable creating and editing documents in Word, Powerpoint, and Excel. - Experience working with invoices, receipts, or other financial paperwork.
