Senior Architectural Project Manager – Retail / Rollout

Location: Solana Beach (San Diego), CA

Schedule: Hybrid – 4 Days In-Office

The Position: We are seeking a Senior Architectural Project Manager – Retail / Rollout to join our San Diego (Solana Beach) studio. This is a highly visible leadership role focused on managing multiple retail and rollout projects from concept through completion, with a strong emphasis on production, execution, and delivery.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage multiple retail and rollout projects simultaneously from planning through completion
  • Develop and oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource allocation
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring strong relationships and successful project outcomes
  • Drive production efforts with a hands-on approach, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in Revit-based documentation
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams, including architects, designers, consultants, and contractors
  • Mentor and support junior staff while fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Monitor project financials, including budgets, invoicing, and collections
  • Identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track
  • Oversee quality assurance to ensure deliverables meet design intent and firm standards
  • Support construction administration efforts, including RFIs, submittals, and site coordination

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager within an architectural firm
  • Strong experience managing retail and/or rollout projects
  • High proficiency in Revit with a production-focused mindset
  • Solid understanding of construction documentation, building codes, and permitting processes
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
  • Strong leadership, communication, and client-facing skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
