As an Email Retention Marketing Specialist, you will be the driving force behind our customer retention and lifecycle strategies. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end execution of high-impact email and SMS campaigns, crafting personalized customer journeys that build lasting brand loyalty and boost Customer Lifetime Value (LTV).

We're looking for a data-driven strategist and creative builder who thrives on testing, optimizing, and scaling lifecycle programs across multiple channels- including email, SMS, direct mail, and loyalty initiatives. Duties and Responsibilities

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Own the end-to-end process of building and deploying promotional and automated email/SMS campaigns. You'll be

  • responsible for targeting, A/B testing, and ensuring flawless execution from concept to deployment.

Lifecycle Journey Management

  • Strategically develop, manage, and optimize key customer journeys (e.g., welcome, post-purchase, re-engagement,

  • loyalty). You'll identify opportunities to enhance personalization and segmentation to improve customer lifetime value (LTV).

Cross-Channel Platform Management

  • Support the management and execution of retention initiatives across multiple lifecycle channels beyond email.

  • Collaborate with the team on direct mail, subscriptions, loyalty, SMS, and other emerging platforms.

  • Assist in testing, launching, and optimizing new programs that enhance the customer experience.

  • Ensure campaigns across channels feel cohesive and connected within the overall lifecycle strategy.

Data Analysis & Optimization

  • Actively monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics (open rates, CTR, conversion rates, LTV). You will use these insights to propose and implement a robust testing roadmap to continuously improve campaign effectiveness and retention.

Collaboration & Ideation

  • Partner with the Brand and Creative teams to develop fresh and innovative campaign ideas. You'll stay on top of industry trends and best practices, bringing new strategies for engagement-focused campaigns to the table.

Quality Assurance (QA) & Compliance

  • Oversee the QA process to ensure all campaigns are error-free and aligned with brand standards. You will also maintain a deep understanding of email compliance regulations to ensure our program is always compliant.

  • Other duties as assigned by organizational leadership

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 4+ years of experience in retention/lifecycle/CRM marketing, ideally in a fast-paced e-commerce or DTC environment

  • Experience supporting or managing lifecycle journeys/flows (welcome, post-purchase, replenishment, winback, abandonment, etc.)

  • Familiarity with subscription and/or loyalty programs preferred

  • Experience with ESP/SMS platforms such as Klaviyo, Braze, Exponea (or similar)

  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals related to analysis, testing, optimization, and performance measurement

  • Strong project management skills and comfort working cross-functionally
