Discover your exciting role

Lead a group of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Engineers on large scale projects during the design and construction phase with overall responsibility for technical issues. Preparation of Basic Design, Front End Engineering Design and detailed design of the Process Control System, Building control System and other Extra-Low Voltage systems for the specific project.

  • Develop Sequence of Operations/Logic Diagrams and cause and effect
  • Ability to review and stamp ELV drawings as a Professional Engineer
  • Checking the Design Documents, Studies, Specifications, datasheets and Calculations prepared by other Instrument Engineers
  • Execute/Expedite Extra-Low Voltage (ELV) system packages during construction phase of a project and taking responsibility for the assigned packages
  • Co-ordination on scheduling activities for Extra Low Voltage (ELV) supervisors on a project to ensure timely delivery at project milestone dates
  • Interfacing with other trades during design phase and incorporate their requirements into Extra-Low Voltage system design
  • Technical Evaluation of vendor submissions including approval of shop drawings
  • Preparing the procedure for testing and commissioning of individual system and assisting in loop commissioning of the controls system
  • Guiding Designer/Draftsman for preparing cable routing plan, hook-up drawings, wiring drawings
  • Supervise and Mentor Extra Low Voltage (ELV) Engineers during tendering, design and construction phase based on the best practices defined in the engineering efficiency checklists. Prioritize and assign work to the

Minimum Required

  • Degree in Instrumentation/Controls/Automation/Mechanical/Robotics/Chemical or other controls-related degree
  • 8+ years relevant experience
  • Professional Engineer Certification Required
  • Experience working in an office environment and preferably has experience working on a construction site preferred
  • Experience working remotely and virtually preferred
  • Experience with Design-Build a plus preferred
