Gardening Team Member Gardens c/o Elliott Washington, D.C. About the role: We are a busy, well-established landscaping and garden-services business serving residential clients in the Washington, D.C. area. We are searching for a hardworking and responsible team member. You will work alongside a small team of landscapers to complete one or more client projects each day. Landscapers perform a variety of tasks including planting, mulching, raking, mowing, pruning, installing irrigation systems, and installing hardscape features. We are looking for a team player who has an attention to detail. Key responsibilities: Work collaboratively on a landscaping team of 2 - 3 crew members. Establish and maintain client gardens to include planting, mulching, raking, mowing, pruning, installing irrigation systems, and installing hardscape features. Collect and dispose of garden debris and litter. Follow supervisor’s instructions when implementing new projects and updating established gardens. Work efficiently with a focus on quality results. Work outdoors in all seasonal weather conditions. Required: Previous landscaping experience preferred. Plant identification skills and knowledge of landscaping best practices, or a strong desire to learn from team members. Ability to work independently and in collaboration with team members and supervisors. Ability to work with hand tools such as pruners, shovels, and rakes. Ability to operate power equipment such as leaf blowers, mowers, and trimmers.
