Job Title: Low Voltage Technician

This is a position that requires the ability to travel throughout the Southeast of the United States on a consistent basis.

Must have a valid U.S. Driver License with a 3-year minimum driving experience and a clean record.

Elite Tech Solutions is currently looking for a Low Voltage Technician. The Low Voltage Technician will work directly with ETS President, ETS Manager(s), Technicians, Vendors, General Contractors, Property Managers, Clients and others to ensure a smooth completion of projects, quality workmanship, safety, troubleshooting and installation. The Low Voltage Technician must take ownership of the job functions and responsibilities to ensure project success.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Functions include the following. Duties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.

• Install low-voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, security systems, intercoms, data/voice cabling, and AV systems that includes whole-house and business music systems, media rooms, lighting control, home and business automation, and I.P surveillance systems
• Mount and terminate devices (cameras, card readers, speakers, sensors, etc.)
• Pull, route, label, and secure various types of cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, coax, fiber, etc.)
• Test and inspect installed systems for functionality and performance
• Troubleshoot faulty systems and perform repairs or adjustments by using test equipment to diagnose problems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
• Document work performed/systems installed/materials used through daily logs, service tickets and reports for clients or supervisors with honesty and accuracy
• Adhere to safety protocol, code compliance and keep a clean jobsite
• Meet strict project deadlines per project schedule
• Professional communication with clients, contractors, and team members and ability to explain system functions and basic troubleshooting steps to end users
• Program devices and systems that integrate with other building infrastructure

Qualifications

Education, Experience and Preferred Qualifications include the following.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• An understanding of construction means, methods & basic hand tools and have worked on a construction jobsite
• An understanding of low-voltage systems
• Experience in installation, low voltage, electrical wiring, A/V, programming, automation systems or technical & troubleshooting abilities
• Understand and read construction drawings, schematics, blueprints
• Low Voltage courses/schooling or certifications and/or military equivalent experience
• Strong work ethic and ability to multitask in a fast paced ever changing environment
• This work may involve some heavy lifting and carrying of equipment, must be able to lift 70+ pounds
• Have your own transportation
