Position Summary: The Roofer is to provide a service to install, maintain and repair the roofs of commercial buildings in a safe and high performing manner. 

 

The Blueprint for Success - Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, service and/or repair commercial roofs
  • Remove old or damaged material
  • Install new materials, such as asphalt shingles, solar tiles, slate, or metal
  • Cut and shape roofing materials to proper size
  • Follow all OSHA regulations
  • Follow local building codes related to pitch and other roof characteristics
  • The ability to use hand and power tools
  • Reviewing project progress to ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Interact positively with customers and ensure property is well maintained. 
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, communicate project updates, and manage expectations to ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Additional duties as needed.

Required:

  • Experience in roofing, construction or related fields.
  • Attention to detail to quality and safety with a goal of installing correctly and working safely, and a willingness to make improvements.
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
  • Willingness to work on various roofing sites under different conditions.
  • Ability to climb ladders and maintain their balance while carrying heavy materials 

Preferred:

  • A valid driver's license
  • Proficient in the safe handling and utilization of ladders.
