Job description

Axion Spine & Neurosurgery is at the forefront of spinal health, offering state-of-the-art care in North Atlanta. Our elite team is committed to excellence in spine care, pioneering innovative treatments that set us apart in the healthcare industry.
We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our team. We are a fast paced, rapidly growing practice, and in need of an individual who is a highly motivated self-starter and team player.
The person in this role will work in our outpatient surgery center in Alpharetta, providing excellent patient care and supporting the clinical team. Experience working in Pre-op, PACU experience is essential, and experience working at an outpatient surgery center is a huge plus.
RESPONSIBILITES:
  • Obtain Perioperative (pre-op) clearance H&P, lab results, tests, and other documentation from primary care offices.
  • Pre-op teaching via phone.
  • Pre-op admittance on the day of surgery/procedure.
  • Start IV's.
  • PACU patient care and discharge education.
  • Responsible for all aspects of patient care
  • Coordinate care to maximize desirable outcomes and patient satisfaction.
  • Assist during emergency procedures and medical intervention.
  • Serve as a representative and a clinical role model in all interactions with patients, family, visitors, physicians, and other staff members.

BREAKDOWN OF DUTIES:
  • 60% Pre-op
  • 40% PACU

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Georgia RN License
  • ACLS
  • Minimum of 1 year Pre-op/PACU experience
