Job description

  • Role: Certified Elevator Mechanic
  • Location: Dallas-Fort Worth, TX
  • Job Type: Fulltime - Onsite


Position Overview:

The Elevator Technician will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of elevators and escalators across commercial and residential facilities. This position is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and repair work while maintaining compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair elevators and escalators
  • Perform preventive maintenance and routine inspections
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
  • Identify and order necessary replacement parts and materials
  • Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and inspection records
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures
  • Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to client inquiries professionally
  • Maintain company-provided tools and equipment responsibly
  • Travel to customer and project sites as required


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Formal elevator technician training preferred
  • Elevator mechanic license or certification is a plus
  • Minimum 3 years of elevator technician experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of strong mechanical experience required
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and technical troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with elevator systems, components, and controls
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments
  • Ability to commute to Dallas, TX required
  • Candidates must be willing to relocate to Dallas, TX before starting work if not currently local
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed
