Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

In your role as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, you will:

• Provide individualized psychotherapy and counseling services to students, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics.
• Conduct comprehensive client assessments by interviewing students and their families to gather information on social, personal, and health-related aspects influencing their wellbeing.
• Develop tailored treatment plans that outline therapeutic goals and interventions to assist clients in navigating their challenges.
• Utilize evidence-based cognitive, behavioral, and emotional interventions to facilitate supportive therapy sessions.
• Build strong therapeutic alliances by maintaining an environment of trust, respect, and empathy.
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of your therapeutic interventions and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
• Document clinical assessments and treatment progress in client records, adhering to confidentiality and ethical guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers, school administrators, and parents to create a comprehensive support system for clients.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and their families, providing services that encompass individual therapy, family dynamics, and group counseling. You will work closely with diverse populations, addressing unique cultural and socioeconomic factors that influence mental health. Your expertise will empower students to cope with challenges while enhancing their academic performance and social skills.

Qualifications

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work or a related field.
• A valid license as a Clinical Social Worker in Texas.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in mental health practice.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preference will be given to candidates who have:

• Demonstrated experience in counseling individuals struggling with behavioral health issues, particularly substance use, depression, and family-related challenges.
• Experience working within a school system or with children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits
