School: Mission Bend Elementary - Fort Bend ISD
Schedule:
Three days per week
Time: 3:15-5:15 PM
Compensation:
$20-$27 per hour (based on experience)
Positions Available:
  • 2 Reading Tutors (Grades 3-5)
  • 2 Math Tutors (Grades 3-5)
    Total positions: 4
Position Overview
Mission Bend Elementary is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic tutors to provide small-group academic support in reading and math for students in grades 3-5. Tutors will work closely with students to reinforce grade-level skills, build confidence, and support academic growth in a structured after-school setting.
Responsibilities
  • Provide small-group instruction in reading or math aligned with grade-level standards
  • Support skill development through targeted practice and guided instruction
  • Assist students with comprehension, fluency, problem-solving, and foundational math skills
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
  • Create a positive, supportive, and engaging learning environment
  • Collaborate with school staff as needed to support student success
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with elementary-aged students in a classroom, tutoring, or academic support setting
  • Experience with reading intervention and/or math instruction for grades 3-5 preferred
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work effectively with small groups
  • Dependable, professional, and student-focused
