Job Summary
The School of Education at Dalton State College invites applicants for a part time instructor of education position for Fall and Spring semester. Candidates must be prepared to teach undergraduate-level courses elementary math methods of education.
A complete application must include (1) Resume or Curriculum vitae, (2) Cover letter (3) Transcripts of all college work (undergraduate and graduate). Unofficial transcripts will suffice for initial screening, however official transcripts will be required upon employment (4) Statement of teaching philosophy (5) At least three professional references that include full name, job title, organization, phone number and email address, and a brief description of your relationship with the reference. References should be with current and/or past employers.
Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until position is filled.

Required Qualifications
  • Earned Masters or Specialist degree in Education or related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in education
  • Expertise/experience in one or more areas: (a) knowledge of elementary mathematics content (b) knowledge of general elementary/secondary education
  • A minimum of three years of experience teaching mathematics in a K-12 classroom setting

  • Demonstrated potential of scholarly productivity
  • Commitment to collaboration with public schools and colleagues
