 Reports to: Campus Principal
Position Overview
Greenville ISD is seeking a collaborative and student-focused Assistant Principal to support leadership and daily operations at an elementary campus. This position assists the Principal in fostering a positive, structured learning environment that supports student growth and development.
Primary Purpose
Assist the campus Principal in providing instructional leadership, campus management, and student support in alignment with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements, district goals, and campus expectations.
Qualifications
Education / Certification:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Valid Texas Principal certification (or ability to obtain)
Special Knowledge / Skills:
- Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional practices
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to analyze student data and support instructional improvement
- Knowledge of behavior management and student development
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
Experience:
- Minimum of three years teaching experience required
- Elementary leadership experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Instructional Leadership
- Support implementation of instructional programs aligned with TEKS and district curriculum
- Assist with monitoring student progress and supporting academic growth
