The Appleton Area School District has a position available for a 1.0 FTE Head Elementary Administrative Assistant at Jefferson Elementary and Fox River Academy beginning on 08-24-2026.
Salary: Starting at $21.60
Schedule: 37.5 hours/week (M-F 7:30 am - 4:00 pm)
Classification/Contract Days: Class I, 12 months
Qualifications: High School Diploma plus 48 credits
What you'll do
This position ensures the seamless delivery of services by managing the front office and serving as the primary point of contact for families, staff, and the public. Key responsibilities include monitoring school safety through visitor screening, coordinating the Principal's calendar, and managing comprehensive site communications, including drafting newsletters and handling emergency announcements. This role is deeply involved in student advocacy, maintaining all legal student records, managing daily attendance, and producing critical truancy and state reports. In addition to clerical excellence, the position oversees essential operational logistics, including health room management and medication dispensation, site bookkeeping, and budget maintenance within the Skyward system.
