Job Purpose:
- The Hotel Bartender at Element by Westin is responsible for providing exceptional beverage and food service to guests in a professional and courteous manner. This role involves crafting a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, preparing and cooking bar food items, ensuring a memorable experience for patrons, and maintaining a clean and organized bar area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic drinks, according to established recipes and guest preferences.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, taking drink and food orders and providing recommendations as needed.
- Ensure the bar area is clean, well-stocked, and organized, including the proper storage of all beverages and supplies.
- Maintain knowledge of all menu items, including specials and promotions, to provide accurate information to guests.
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations, including responsible alcohol service and sanitation standards.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately, following company procedures for closing out tabs and processing payments.
- Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
- Participate in regular training sessions and team meetings to stay informed about new products, services, and company policies.

Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a bartender in a hotel or high-volume bar setting.
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service in a hospitality environment.
- Experience in crafting and serving a wide variety of cocktails and beverages.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of mixology and cocktail preparation techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.
- Proficiency in handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
