As the market share leader in exterior automotive lighting, NAL provides advanced lighting technology, engineering design expertise, and state-of-the-art production capabilities to auto makers based in North America and around the world.
Our Opportunity
North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Senior Electronics Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining electronics lab, order components, equipment for lab for modifying, testing electronics such as LED Drivers, AFS electronics; work with Lead Electrical engineer in testing of prototypes electronics; and create load boxes and data acquisition setups.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Your Priorities
  • Understand electronics schematics & the working environment of an electronics lab.
  • Working level knowledge of CAD tools such as Catia, Solid Works, or Mentor DxDesigner for schematic to be able to read and modify electronics per modified schematics.
  • Inventory lab equipment and maintain calibration metrics for all essential equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is functional and updates to hardware/software are done to ensure latest level functionality. Communicate to immediate supervisor for items requiring updates.
  • Understand and execute DV/PV test plans for multiple OEMs for EMC testing.
  • Ability to use complex electronic instrumentation of Digital Oscilloscopes, data acquisition and EMC equipment of BCI, CI and RE.

The salary range for this position is $55,000 - $79,800 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.

Your Background
  • Associate's Degree in technical or related discipline, plus 4 - 6 years' comparable experience OR
  • High School Diploma or GED, plus 6 to 8 years of experience in quality or comparable experience.

Experience in an Electronics Lab with a tier 1 automotive lighting supplier is preferred.
